Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) modules and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale healthcare or government technology projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors, and state teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilitiesβ Lead end-to-end implementation of MMIS modules and components
β Define and manage project scope, timelines, budget, implementation plans, and risk mitigation strategies
β Coordinate vendors, project managers, and stakeholders through effective project governance and master scheduling
β Monitor project risks, deliverables, and overall project performance
β Ensure all project requirements and deliverables are successfully met
β Manage resources across multiple vendors and state teams through planning, implementation, go-live, and certification phases
β Provide regular project updates to leadership, executives, and legislative stakeholders
β Analyze project progress and proactively address challenges
Required Skills & ExperienceβοΈ 5+ years of Project Management experience in technology projects within healthcare or state government environments
βοΈ Strong organizational and leadership skills
βοΈ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
βοΈ Experience managing project deadlines and critical paths
βοΈ Ability to gather business requirements and prioritize analytics, reporting, and data initiatives
βοΈ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve project issues early
βοΈ Experience engaging stakeholders and driving project success through collaboration
Preferred Qualificationsβ Experience working with state government agencies
β Medicaid program or Medicaid agency experience
β Experience with data and system migration from legacy systems
β Change management, training coordination, and communication planning experience
