Inside Property Adjuster Trainee– Richmond, VALaunch a Career with One of the Nation's Fastest Growing Independent Adjusting Firms

As an Inside Property Adjuster Trainee, you'll receive company-sponsored training, industry licensing support, and experience that will prepare you to investigate property losses, assess damage, prepare estimates, and manage insurance claims.

During training, you'll learn:

  • Property damage assessment and investigation
  • Residential and commercial construction fundamentals
  • Insurance policy interpretation and coverage analysis
  • Xactimate estimating software
  • Claim documentation and reporting
  • Customer communication and claim management
  • Industry regulations and best practices
What You'll Do

Following successful completion of training, you will:

  • Conduct investigations involving residential and commercial property claims.
  • Virtually Inspect homes and commercial buildings to identify and document damage.
  • Analyze claim information, policy provisions, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare repair and replacement estimates using Xactimate.
  • Assist in determining coverage, damages, and claim exposure.
  • Prepare professional reports and claim documentation for clients.
  • Maintain communication with policyholders, contractors, consultants, and insurance carriers throughout the claim process.
  • Participate in subrogation and causation investigations when applicable.
  • Manage an assigned claim inventory while meeting service and quality standards.
  • Travel throughout your assigned New Jersey territory to inspect losses and investigate claims.
  • Continue developing technical expertise through training and mentorship opportunities.
What We're Looking For
  • College Degree or equivalent required.
  • Construction, roofing, restoration, estimating, engineering, or related experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical concepts.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn industry software platforms.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses.

Preferred Qualification

  • Roofing or restoration industry experience
  • Estimating experience
  • Prior insurance or claims experience
  • Experience using Xactimate or similar estimating software
