Job Description
As an Forward Deployed Engineer, based in our NYC office, you'll be involved from the moment a complex enterprise deal gets serious - supporting Sales with the technical depth needed to close, then staying in the seat through the full implementation until the creator is live and self-sufficient. You'll run discovery to map their existing systems, define the integration architecture, coordinate development work across agency partners and internal engineering, and keep delivery on track from first demo to go-live. Think part technical architect, part delivery lead, part trusted advisor.
You'll travel to creator offices and venues globally, sit alongside their operations teams, based in their offices at times and solve the real-world problems that surface when complex businesses move onto a new platform.
You won't necessarily be writing production code day-to-day, but you need to be technically sharp: comfortable reading APIs, evaluating architecture decisions, reviewing what agencies deliver, and holding your own in a room with engineers. The problems you'll solve are rarely the same twice, and you'll need to learn fast, adapt constantly, and stay close to the product as it evolves.
This role sits within the Customer Success team and works cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales.
Support Pre-Sales
Partner with Sales on complex deals where technical depth is needed to win - joining discovery calls, scoping requirements, and helping build the commercial case for Easol.
Conduct technical discovery with prospects to surface complex requirements, assess platform fit, and identify integration needs early, so there are no surprises post-signature.
Design and deliver solution narratives and product demonstrations tailored to a prospect's specific operational setup and commercial goals.
Feed structured insights from pre-sales back to the Product team so that recurring prospect needs and market gaps are captured and prioritised.
Lead Enterprise Deployments
Own end-to-end technical delivery for enterprise creators post-sale - from scoping through to go-live.
Run technical discovery with creator teams to map their existing systems (PMS, channel managers, F&B/POS, identity, data warehouses, BI tools) and define how they integrate with Easol.
Define the technical architecture for each engagement and coordinate delivery across agency partners and internal engineering - managing scope, quality, and timelines.
Work with Easol’s engineering team to extend the API surface where enterprise needs go beyond existing endpoints.
Travel to and embed at creator offices and venues globally for extended periods. This is the core of the role - you go where the work is.
Hand over to the ongoing Customer Success team once creators are live and self-sufficient, with clear documentation of what was built and how it works.
Be the Platform Expert
Build and maintain deep knowledge of Easol’s platform, its architecture, capabilities, configuration options, integration points, and roadmap. You’re the person who knows what the platform can and can’t do.
Feed structured insights from the field back to Product: recurring pain points, unmet needs, and integration patterns that should become first-class features.
Spot commercial opportunities within accounts - revenue optimisation, conversion uplift, operational efficiency and surface them to the wider team.
Experience
A background in solutions consulting, technical implementation, professional services, or forward deployed engineering at a B2B SaaS company, ideally in travel, hospitality, events, or commerce.
Track record of managing complex technical deliveries end-to-end with real customer teams: scoping, coordinating builds, launching, and iterating.
Experience supporting enterprise pre-sales: joining discovery calls, scoping requirements, and contributing to deal closure on technically complex opportunities.
Experience managing delivery through agency partners or contractors, not just internal teams.
Technical Fluency
Strong understanding of web platforms, REST APIs, webhooks, authentication flows, and data pipelines. You don’t need to be a full-time developer, but you need to scope work accurately, review technical output, and earn the respect of engineers.
Familiarity with data and analytics tools (e.g. GA4) and CRM/marketing integrations (e.g. Klaviyo).
Comfortable with version control (Git), deployment workflows, and working directly alongside engineering teams.
Problem-Solving & Communication
Excellent discovery skills - you ask the right questions to understand what a creator actually needs, not just what they say they want. You map requirements against platform capabilities and identify where the gaps are.
You can run a detailed technical requirements session with an engineering team in the morning and present a progress update to a founder over lunch. You adjust your language to the room.
Commercial awareness - you understand how technical decisions affect revenue, retention, and growth, and you can connect the dots for non-technical stakeholders.
You maintain a productive feedback loop between the field and internal product and engineering teams. Insights from your deployments shape what gets built next.
Mindset
Genuine curiosity about how businesses operate. You take pride in knowing a platform inside out and being the person others turn to for a definitive answer.
Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity. This role changes shape with the pipeline, and you need to prioritise and context-switch with confidence.
Willing and able to travel extensively - including extended on-site stays, when the work demands it.
