Security Attendant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Germantown Cricket Club

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our members, employees, and visitors. This position involves monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. A strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role. Must be comfortable walking outdoors in the various weather for security checks.

This job is primarily evening hours and will require reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Patrol properties looking for burnt out lights, opened doors, water leaks, and any unauthorized or suspicious vehicles or persons, reporting to management
• Monitoring entrances and exits
• Fully conversant with clubs emergency procedures
• Report for duty on time, clean and tidy and wearing appropriate uniform
• Provide full cooperation in a prompt and helpful manner to any guest or colleague requiring assistance
• Abide by all current rules and regulations within the department as per training manual
• Report all maintenance requirements and risks in the workplace to supervisor
• Have a good knowledge of the operations and activities at the club to assist guests and/or members
• Performing safety inspections according to establishment protocols
• Maintaining open communication with the management team
• Assist guests with any problems related to the facilities including access, safety, and comfort
• Provide guest service after-hours including check-in, courier duties, and responding to alarms
• Collaborate with law enforcement when required and assist in investigations as needed.

Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.

- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable (must obtain within 3 months).

- Experience in loss prevention strategies is an advantage.

- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
