Job Description

Position Summary:


The Plant Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the plant. This position is responsible for managing the operations staffing schedule, coordinating maintenance contractors, approving payroll hours for operations staff, and maintaining organized records of documents and certificates. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities & Expectations:

Operations Staffing

Develop and maintain weekly and monthly staffing schedules for operations personnel.Coordinate shift coverage and respond to staffing changes or absences.Communicate scheduling updates to relevant teams and supervisors.


Maintenance Coordination

Schedule and coordinate external maintenance contractors for plant equipment and building as directed by the Maintenance Manager.Ensure contractors comply with safety and operational standards.Track maintenance activities and maintain service records.


Payroll Administration

Review and approve payroll hours submitted by operations staff.Ensure accuracy and timely submission of payroll data.Liaise with HR or payroll departments to resolve discrepancies.


Document Management

File and maintain operational documents, certificates, and compliance records.Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits or inspections.Support digital and physical filing systems.

Desired Qualifications:

Proven experience in operations coordination, scheduling, or administrative support.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Knowledge or experience in a unionized environment and document management practices is an asset.


Working Conditions:

Office-based with regular interaction on the plant floor.May require occasional on-call availability to support scheduling or contractor coordination.

Le coordonnateur d’usine joue un rôle essentiel dans le soutien des opérations quotidiennes de l’usine.   • Communiquer les mises à jour des horaires aux équipes et superviseurs concernés.

Coordination de la maintenance

  • Planifier et coordonner les entrepreneurs externes en maintenance pour les équipements de l’usine et le bâtiment, selon les directives du responsable de la maintenance.
  • S’assurer que les entrepreneurs respectent les normes de sécurité et d’exploitation.
  • Suivre les activités de maintenance et tenir à jour les dossiers de service.

Administration de la paie

  • Examiner et approuver les heures de paie soumises par le personnel des opérations.
  • Veiller à l’exactitude et à la soumission en temps opportun des données de paie.
  • Collaborer avec les ressources humaines ou le service de la paie pour résoudre les écarts.

Gestion des documents

  • Classer et maintenir les documents opérationnels, certificats et dossiers de conformité.
  • S’assurer que toute la documentation est à jour et accessible pour les audits ou inspections.
  • Soutenir les systèmes de classement numériques et physiques.

Qualifications recherchées :

  • Expérience avérée en coordination des opérations, en planification ou en soutien administratif.
  • Solides compétences organisationnelles et en gestion du temps.
  • Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office et des logiciels de planification.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles.
  • Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et en équipe.
  • Une connaissance ou une expérience dans un environnement syndiqué et en gestion documentaire est un atout.

Conditions de travail :

  • Travail principalement en bureau avec des interactions régulières sur le plancher de l’usine.
  • Peut nécessiter une disponibilité occasionnelle sur appel pour soutenir la planification ou la coordination des entrepreneurs.
