In this hourly, full-time role, you will work closely with supervisors, engineers, and fellow production team members to set up machines, run production jobs, and perform basic quality checks. With at least one year of experience, you will use your practical knowledge of CNC operations to maintain productivity, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor.

What You'll Do

  • Operate CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes, or routers) to produce parts according to production schedules and technical drawings
  • Set up CNC equipment for production runs, including loading materials, selecting tools, and entering or recalling machine programs as directed
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced to required specifications and tolerances
  • Perform basic measurements and inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other standard inspection tools
  • Identify and report machine malfunctions, tooling issues, or material defects to supervisors or maintenance personnel
  • Complete required production documentation, logs, and reports accurately and on time
  • Follow established work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines at all times
  • Assist with basic machine maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubrication, and simple adjustments
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process, tooling, or workflow enhancements
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet or exceed quality, productivity, and on-time delivery targets

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing or machining environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in machining, CNC, or related field is a plus
  • Basic understanding of CNC machine operation, tooling, and production workflows
  • Ability to read and interpret simple technical drawings, production orders, and work instructions
  • Familiarity with basic measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and quality checks
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, quality, and safety
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials or parts as required by the role
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work a full-time hourly schedule, including overtime or shift work if required
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
