Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Dept

Work location: Texas Health Cleburne, 201 Walls Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033
Work hours: Full Time, Nights (7p-7a) with rotating weekends/holidays
Emergency Department highlights:
• Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
• Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
• Level 4 Trauma Emergency Department with 17 beds
• Great partnership with our physician group
• Several Clinical Excellence Awarded preceptor nurses.
Here's What You Need
• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• One year of Emergency experience strongly preferred
• BCLS - prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly
• ACLS - within 90 days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 days of hire
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - within 90 Days of hire
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course - within 12 Months of hire
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
