Summary:
The Department of Urology, in collaboration with the Center for Advanced Practice at WMCHealth, is seeking an experienced, motivated and highly collaborative APP (Advanced Practice Provider), Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), to join our ambulatory Urology Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who thrives in a collaborative but autonomous setting and is comfortable seeing patients in an independent capacity within a shared service model, with appropriate physician support and escalation pathways. In this role, the APP will work closely with experienced Urologists, providing comprehensive care across a broad spectrum of urologic conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and follow patients in the ambulatory Urology Ambulatory setting
- Manage patients with diverse urologic diseases and comorbidities
- Contribute to a flexible practice model that is designed to support future growth and evolving clinical needs
- Join a supportive team that values APPs and partners to ensure success
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess, or be able to obtain, an applicable New York State License.
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of urology, surgical, or ambulatory (outpatient) experience but highly motivated new graduates will be considered.
- Excellent communication skills, strong clinical judgment, and demonstration of an ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment as part of a multidisciplinary team are requirements
- Candidates must have BLS and ATLS
