Assistant Manager– Airport Operations in Morrisville, North Carolina at Guardian Proservices

Location: Raleigh, NC – Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)

Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $22–$28 per hour, based on experience

Schedule:

With flexibility to adjust based on operational needs and the Manager’s direction. Weekend availability, particularly Saturday and Sunday, is required.

Weekdays : 12:00pm-8:00pm

Weekends: 8:00am -4:00pm

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and hands-on Assistant Operations Manager to join our aviation operations team at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).

This is a hands-on leadership role working closely with the Airport Operations Manager . The ideal candidate is someone who can step in and take responsibility when the Manager is not on-site, while also helping us build and maintain a strong local workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Airport Manager with daily operations and employee coordination .

Provie on-site leadership and help cover operations when the Manager is unavailable , including weekends.

Develop local recruiting sources and community outreach to build a strong candidate pool.

Help recruit and retain Passenger Assistance/Wheelchair Agents.

Organize and participate in job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach.

Build relationships with local organizations and workforce resources.

Address day-to day staffing and operational needs.

Maintain a professional and positive working environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of Leadership or supervisory experience is a must.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Comfortable working independently and making day-to day operational decisions.

Must be comfortable working on-site at RDU Airport and supporting weekend operations.

Recruiting or staffing experience is a plus.

Airport , transportation, hospitality, or customer -service experience is a plus.
