Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Prepares area for food serving. Sets up steam tables and service areas with hot food items, salads, desserts, fruits, breakfast foods, etc. Prepares and portions salads and desserts. Slices meats and prepares deli items i.e. sandwiches, mixed salads, cheese, etc. Replenishes food items as necessary. Makes coffee. Participates in cafeteria special events.
2. Serves food in prescribed quantities according to food service standards.
3. Takes temperatures before and during meal service.
4. Informs production if a menu item is running low.
5. Stocks cold supply before, during and after each meal service.
II. Position Qualifications:

1. High school education or equivalent.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Requires the ability to carry out instructions and procedures that are standardized.
2. Ability to read, write and speak English.
3. Understands basic weights and measures.
4. Understands basic mathematical functions.
Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
