Senior Healthcare Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Healthcare Analyst based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to turn complex healthcare data into actionable insights that improve population health, quality outcomes, customer performance, and operational effectiveness. You will analyze diverse healthcare datasets spanning membership, clinical, claims, pharmacy, provider, marketing, and quality information. Working across customer-facing and internal initiatives, you will translate business questions into meaningful analytics and clear recommendations. You will own analytical projects from requirements gathering and methodology design through delivery and presentation of findings. The position combines technical expertise in SQL, Python, and Tableau with strong communication and data storytelling skills. As a trusted analytics partner, you will help identify opportunities for better clinical outcomes, cost savings, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:
  • Analyze, interpret, and explain complex membership, clinical, quality, utilization, and performance data to support customers, clinical operations, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Own assigned customer and analytics projects by evaluating data requirements, developing analytical approaches, and delivering findings through Tableau, PowerPoint, and other appropriate formats.
  • Identify and communicate customer analytics needs and translate business requirements into effective reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Serve as a primary analytics point of contact for assigned customers, participating in customer calls and meetings, presenting findings, responding to ad hoc requests, and developing strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Proactively analyze customer-specific utilization, financial, clinical, and quality performance data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and potential cost savings.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to internal leaders and customers focused on clinical performance, operational improvement, and cost effectiveness.
  • Perform routine data-quality reviews and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support analytics platform training and day-to-day user support needs.
  • Participate in continuous product improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance customer analytics, dashboards, reporting capabilities, and data platforms.
  • Build and maintain SQL Server-based invoicing and billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely member-level billing data across customer accounts.
  • Apply statistical and digital analytical methods to address complex business questions and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling data stories that can be understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in informatics, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in healthcare business analysis.
  • In-depth experience analyzing healthcare data, including medical and pharmacy claims, outcomes data, HEDIS measures, biometrics, performance metrics, clinical processes, and survey data.
  • Strong understanding of relational database structures, data management best practices, and healthcare and life sciences data elements.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, and open-source reporting tools or packages.
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying statistical and digital methods to solve business challenges.
  • Experience working with healthcare analytics in customer-facing, operational, population health, or value-based care environments.
  • Experience in virtual or telehealth care settings is a plus, particularly within cardiometabolic or weight management programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the curiosity to investigate complex or ambiguous questions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong ability to translate technical analysis into practical business recommendations and compelling data narratives.
  • Highly self-motivated and intellectually curious, with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong accountability and ability to manage projects and priorities independently.
  • Comfortable collaborating with internal teams and external customers in a remote environment.
  • Must reside in the continental United States.

Benefits:

  • Fully remote position.
  • U.S.-only employment eligibility, with candidates required to reside in the continental United States.
  • Opportunity to work with diverse healthcare datasets and contribute to population health and value-based care initiatives.
  • Customer-facing exposure and the opportunity to build relationships with healthcare stakeholders.
  • Opportunity to influence clinical quality improvement, operational performance, analytics products, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborative environment combining healthcare, technology, analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Opportunity to apply and expand expertise across SQL, Python, Tableau, statistical analysis, and healthcare data.
  • Exposure to virtual care and digitally enabled healthcare initiatives.
