Mortgage Branch Manager - Producing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mortgage Branch Manager - Producing based in Brazil.

This is an opportunity to lead and grow a mortgage Loan Production Office while remaining actively involved in loan production.
You will oversee day-to-day operations, develop a high-performing team, and drive sustainable business growth.
The role combines people leadership, mortgage sales, customer relationships, and operational management.
You will build strong relationships with borrowers, referral partners, and other key stakeholders.
Success will require balancing ambitious production goals with regulatory compliance and sound lending practices.
You will also contribute to business planning, expense management, and the overall profitability of the branch.

Accountabilities
  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Loan Production Office, ensuring efficient and productive workflows.

  • Lead a team of at least two full-time LPO employees, or the equivalent, while supporting hiring, staffing, and talent management decisions.

  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members to improve performance, expand business opportunities, and support professional growth.

  • Conduct regular business planning and sales strategy meetings and maintain an accessible, supportive leadership approach.

  • Ensure employees complete required compliance training and continuing education.

  • Meet or exceed the expected production target of at least five funded mortgage units per month.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective borrowers, existing customers, referral partners, and other business contacts.

  • Promote and sell mortgage loan products and services while providing informed financial guidance.

  • Evaluate borrowers’ financial situations, objectives, and credit histories to recommend appropriate mortgage solutions.

  • Educate customers about mortgage products, pricing, payment structures, and the overall lending process.

  • Continuously identify and recruit additional talent to expand the team and grow the business.

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and loan pricing guidelines.

  • Protect borrowers’ non-public personal information and promptly escalate suspected fraud or unauthorized activity.

  • Support expense management, profit and loss oversight, and broader business strategies that contribute to branch performance and profitability.

Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience within mortgage lending, loan production, or a comparable financial-services environment.

  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and driving mortgage production and business development.

  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products, pricing structures, lending practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Proven ability to generate sales, develop referral relationships, and grow a mortgage business while maintaining operational and compliance standards.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, customer-service, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to understand borrower needs and recommend suitable mortgage solutions.

  • Proficiency with mortgage lending software and related financial technology tools.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing operational, sales, compliance, and leadership priorities.

  • A coaching-oriented leadership style with a demonstrated commitment to employee development and customer education.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Full-time, salaried exempt, W-2 employment.
