Driver in New Holland, Pennsylvania at Specialty Egg Packing LLC

Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Purpose of Position:

The Driver has the primary responsibility of transporting employees to and from their place of employment utilizing a company vehicle in a safe and timely manner.

Essential Duties:

• Transport team members from their home to Westfield Egg Farm and/or from Westfield Egg Farm to their home.
• Maintain close communication with Human Resources regarding scheduling.
• Exhibit all driver safety requirements and protocols as prescribed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a driver and for all passengers.
• Report any safety issues observed on the vehicle immediately to the Director of HR and the Business Relations Assistant.
• Cooperate with the Director of HR and the Business Relations Assistant in the event of a vehicle accident, including providing details to all local authorities involved.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

• Typical hours: Morning Route, Monday – Thursday, 5:30 am – 7:00 am
• Occasional Friday hours may be required.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Clean driving record.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
• Complete support of and willing adherence to Westfield Egg Farm’s mission, vision, and core values. Applicant must hold these standards as his/her own.

Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Employee must maintain strong motor and reflex abilities. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to cold, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Employee may be subject to drug screening, hearing, and eye exams at the discretion of the employer.
