Job Description
Overview: The Delivery Driver at Curtis Restaurant Equipment plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products and equipment to customers. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and requires learning of the NetSuite ERP System, including the Warehouse Management System (WMS). The primary responsibilities of this role include receiving, pulling products from inventory, and shipping products. The Warehouse Delivery Personnel will primarily operate 26' box delivery trucks with lift gates, requiring skills and knowledge in driving larger vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery Operations: Safely and efficiently operate 26' box delivery trucks with lift gates to transport products and equipment to customer locations.
- Product Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading products and equipment onto delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transportation.
- Route Planning: Work with the Warehouse Supervisor to plan delivery routes, optimize efficiency, and ensure timely deliveries to customers.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including courteous interaction with customers, answering inquiries, and addressing any delivery-related concerns.
- Product Inspection: Conduct pre- and post-delivery inspections of products and equipment to ensure they meet quality standards and are in proper working condition.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery manifests, proof of delivery documents, and any other required paperwork.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks on delivery vehicles, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating delivery vehicles and working in the warehouse environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the receiving, storing, and pulling of products from inventory as needed, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper organization within the warehouse.
- NetSuite ERP System Proficiency: Utilize the NetSuite ERP System and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to accurately record delivery details, update inventory records, and complete other delivery-related tasks.
Requirements & Skills:
- Experience in driving larger vehicles, such as 26' box delivery trucks, with proficiency in maneuvering and parking.
- Familiarity with the NetSuite ERP System, including the Warehouse Management System (WMS), to perform delivery-related tasks and update records is a plus.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects, as the position may require loading and unloading products and equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately follow instructions and complete required paperwork.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient route planning.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to prioritize safety while operating delivery vehicles and working in the warehouse environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Warehouse Supervisor and other team members to achieve delivery and warehouse objectives.
