Description

Works in a manufacturing environment and is responsible for performing quality inspection operations on a variety of product. Responsible for compliance to quality standards including ISO 13485 and FDA Quality Systems Regulations (QSR).

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspects finished product for quality and compliance to work order. Assists in resolving quality issues
  • Responsible for following all procedures and work instructions pertaining to inspection of finished product.
  • Responsible for reporting on variety of matters such as scrap, safety and training.
  • Participates in a self-managed team. Assumes specific responsibilities on a rotating basis for activities/items such as team representative, team indicators, team meeting minutes, quality performance reporting, etc.
  • Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines. Performs necessary preventative maintenance.
  • May work on special projects/assignments upon request.

Qualifications

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required. AS/AA degree preferred. Industry experience in quality, inspection, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend (in English) simple or complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Documents may include: Material Safety Data Sheets, work orders, work instructions, manuals, policies and procedures, etc.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must be able to interpret prints and use appropriate measuring devices.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) preferred.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve problems in a practical manner.
