Job Description
Dive into the heart of our manufacturing operations. This isn’t a desk job—it’s a hands-on immersion into how a product moves from a purchase order to the customer's doorstep. You will sit within the Program Management department, acting as the bridge between our internal technical teams and our external clients. Your goal is to learn the "DNA" of our facility to better manage customer expectations and project timelines.
What You’ll Do (The Rotation)
To be a great Account Manager, you must know how things are built. You will rotate through key departments to understand their impact on customer experience:
- Procurement: Learn how we source raw materials and manage supplier risks to keep production on track.
- Stores & Inventory: Understand how material kits are staged and the importance of inventory accuracy.
- Assembly & Test: Get on the floor to see how products are built and the rigorous testing required to meet specs.
- Quality Assurance: Learn ASA9100 standards required to ensure every shipment is "zero-defect."
- Shipping & Logistics: See the final hurdle—packaging, documentation, and global distribution.
The "Grand Finale" Project
At the conclusion of your internship, you will prepare and deliver a formal presentation to the Senior Staff. You’ll provide an overview of the inter-departmental dependencies you discovered, identify one area for process improvement, and share how this "floor-to-office" perspective will shape your career in Account Management.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Business, Marketing, Manufacturing, or a related technical field from a college or university.
- Strong academic record (e.g., minimum GPA of 3.0 or as specified by the company).
- Basic understanding of common shop tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Active Listening: This is consistently ranked as the most vital skill; it involves using methods like LAER (Listen, Acknowledge, Explore, Respond) to fully grasp needs before proposing solutions.
- Relationship Building: The ability to earn personal trust by demonstrating a genuine concern for success.
- Strategic Communication: Expert-level verbal and written abilities are needed to manage expectations, deliver insights, and communicate effectively.
- Negotiation & Persuasion: Critical for handling contract renewals, pricing discussions, and turning feedback into new growth opportunities.
- Adaptability & Problem Solving: Navigating stressful situations and resolving complex technical or business issues quickly.
Compensation: $27/HR-$31/HR
Learning Opportunities:

- Enhance technical and business skills in areas such as process improvement, procurement, manufacturing, and quality control.
- Strengthen problem-solving, analytical, and project management capabilities.
- Opportunity to network with experienced aerospace professionals and mentors.
- Learn about industry safety protocols, and quality management systems (e.g., AS9100).
- Contribute to meaningful projects that impact the company's operations and products.
- Receive mentorship and guidance from Product Line Director, Account Managers, and various department personnel.
