Job Description

Senior Network Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to design and operate global, mission-critical networking infrastructure supporting high-scale streaming and advertising platforms. You will play a key role in ensuring secure, resilient, and high-performance connectivity across distributed environments, including cloud, corporate, and remote workforce networks. The position sits at the intersection of network engineering, security, and cloud architecture, with strong exposure to AWS and Zero Trust initiatives. You will collaborate closely with engineering, security, and DevOps teams to support highly available systems operating at massive scale. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where your work directly impacts platform reliability and global service delivery. You will also contribute to incident response, architecture decisions, and long-term network evolution. The environment is fast-moving, highly collaborative, and focused on building secure and scalable infrastructure for complex distributed systems.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving enterprise-grade network infrastructure across cloud, on-premises, and distributed environments, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across mission-critical systems.

  • Define and operate global network architecture, including routing, switching, DNS, VPN alternatives, and secure connectivity across corporate and production environments
  • Lead Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) initiatives using modern security platforms such as Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA)
  • Design and enforce network segmentation, access policies, and security controls aligned with compliance and operational requirements
  • Support AWS networking architecture (including VPC design, routing, and hybrid connectivity) in collaboration with DevSecOps teams
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code practices for network automation, configuration, and scalable deployments
  • Design and maintain secure office, remote workforce, and distributed network access solutions
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to network security incidents in coordination with security and engineering teams
  • Contribute to observability, reliability, and performance improvements across global networking systems
  • Document architecture, standards, and operational procedures while supporting compliance requirements such as NIST and CMMC
Requirements:

You bring deep expertise in enterprise and cloud networking, with a strong focus on scalable, secure, and high-performance distributed systems.

  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering or related infrastructure roles
  • Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, VPNs, and enterprise network security
  • Hands-on experience with Zero Trust architectures and tools such as Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA preferred)
  • Proven experience with AWS networking, including VPC design and hybrid/cloud connectivity
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
  • Experience supporting distributed or global network environments with remote workforce connectivity
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST 800-171 and/or CMMC
  • Familiarity with observability, incident response, and network performance optimization
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE (preferred or equivalent experience)
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills with a collaborative mindset
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $130,000 – $180,000 USD
  • Remote-first work environment (United States eligible locations)
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure systems
  • Exposure to advanced cloud, security, and Zero Trust networking technologies
  • Collaborative, cross-functional engineering culture
  • Equal opportunity and inclusive work environment
