Job Description
Position Summary
Responsible for the supervision and completion of the Childcare Center department assigned tasks in a timely and responsible manner. Acts as a facilitator of activities and play of children in the center.
Essential Functions
- Oversees all aspects of daily operations of the Childcare Center in the absence of the Manager or Supervisor.
- Promotes the Chinook Winds commitment to a safe, secure play and entertainment environment for children and families.
- Ensures that Childcare team members are in compliance with Chinook Winds policies and procedures.
- Responsible for opening and or closing of the childcare center.
- Handles and is accountable for large sums of money when inside the childcare center.
- Resolve guests and employee complaints, as needed.
- Responsible for all essential functions of the attendants as needed.
- Recommends measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase quality and enhance job safety.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
- Handles all personnel issues in a timely manner according to Chinook Winds policies and procedures.
- Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in program processes or services.
- Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
- Leads employees during the shift and ensures appropriate professional standards of behavior, work standards, productivity, practices, and customer care.
- Maintains effective communication within the team and attends meetings and training sessions as required.
- Assigns duties, responsibilities, and work areas to employees in accordance with work requirements.
- Develops and maintains a teamwork environment when needed by the manager and supervisors.
- Trains employees in designated areas and monitor’s progress.
- Monitor and develop staff through documentation.
- Monitors staff performance to ensure Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards are achieved.
- Identifies & reports any irregular, unsafe or hazardous conditions inside childcare center.
- All other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
One year of experience in Childcare Facility and/or daycare and/or babysitting.
One year of experience working in fast food operations preferred.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office basic level including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Certificates & Licenses
Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
CPR & First Aid.
Food handlers Card within 30 days.
Other Requirements
Cash handling ability to count change back to guests.

Work will take place in a busy noisy environment with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and the associated affects.
Working Conditions
Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
