Receiving Associate

Location: Beck Road | Post Falls, ID
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (PST)
Pay: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary

Selkirk Sport is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team. In this hands-on role, you’ll help keep our operations moving by receiving incoming shipments, verifying inventory, inspecting materials, and ensuring products are accurately documented and organized.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition to direct, full-time employment with Selkirk Sport following successful completion of the introductory period.

What You’ll Do
  • Receive & Verify Shipments – Check incoming materials and products against purchase orders and packing slips to confirm quantities and SKU accuracy.
  • Inspect Incoming Materials – Identify damaged, defective, or incorrect items and communicate discrepancies to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain Inventory Accuracy – Accurately enter received inventory into internal systems and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Organize Materials – Label, sort, and properly store incoming products and materials so they are ready for production and fulfillment.
  • Support Warehouse Operations – Assist with internal stock transfers, outgoing shipments, and other warehouse needs as assigned.
  • Maintain Quality & Safety – Keep work areas clean and organized while following established safety procedures and warehouse SOPs.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory entry and record-keeping.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Willingness to learn and operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • A plus, but not required: previous warehouse, receiving, production, inventory, or forklift experience.

Growth & Direct Hire

This position begins as a temp-to-hire role, with an anticipated introductory period of approximately three months. Associates who successfully complete the introductory period may transition to direct, full-time employment with Selkirk Sport and become eligible for Selkirk’s employee benefits.

Once hired directly by Selkirk Sport, eligible benefits begin the first of the month following your Selkirk hire date and include:

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is an active warehouse position that requires regular standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift. Associates must be able to regularly lift or move materials weighing up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.

The role is performed in an active warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures. Consistent adherence to established safety procedures is required.
