Central Scheduling Manager

Job Description:

*Align individual goals and goals of direct reports with those of Sinai Health System and its administrators, supporting the mission and vision of the organization *Ensures and advocates excellence and quality in customer service values. Resolve any concerns with applicable parties. *Maintain work schedules for employees assuring adequate department coverage.

*Coordinate daily activities of Central Scheduling while providing supervision to the staff in an efficient and professional manner including but not limited to verifying demographics, checking insurance eligibility, correctly identifying and scheduling appointments. *Responsible for management of employees including selection, training, motivation, timekeeping, development, performance reviews and recommend salary adjustments while setting clear expectations and measurable performance goals. *Address disciplinary issues as necessary to improve overall performance of his/her subordinates.

*Ensure staff has the appropriate equipment, tools, supplies and training to effectively perform the day-to-day functions of the department. Assure reporting tools needed to appropriately process patients are available to staff daily. Maintain a visible presence in the department to assist staff with any questions, concerns or issues *Ensure measurement and achievement of KPI;s & Metrics of the department and Revenue Cycle in general while devising strategic methodology to reach and maintain those goals. *Provide/maintain informational reports and data to management as required. *Interpret, evaluate, revise, implement and reinforce existing and new forms, guidelines, policies and procedures.

*Collaborate with partnering organizations and/or departments to ensure customer and organizational needs are being met while consistently looking for opportunities for process improvement. *Maintain communication with staff on a regular basis, including monthly staff meetings, Staff meetings are to include agenda and meeting minutes for record keeping purposes. *Keep departmental goals and activities in line with Revenue Cycle focus while abiding by government regulations. *Monitor and control expenses, identify and act on opportunities to increase efficiency and cost effectiveness. *Develop budget recommendations and monitor operating expenses. *Maintains external contact with regulatory agencies, health networks, community-based organizations, medical groups and payers. *Provide leadership through effective feedback and delegation. Other duties as assigned.
