POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Operations Manager supports execution of GCC's strategic growth and patient acquisition initiatives. This role manages day-to-day marketing operations, digital performance, campaign execution, website and agency coordination, CRM processes, and marketing reporting. The position works closely with the Director of Strategic Growth, internal teams, and external partners to ensure marketing activities are aligned with surgeon growth, patient acquisition goals, referral development, and new-market initiatives. This role exercises independent judgment in day-to-day marketing operations and vendor management within budgets and priorities set by the Director of Strategic Growth.
Hybrid role based out of GCC's San Francisco office, with periodic travel to agency meetings, partner locations, or new-market launch sites. Regular on-site collaboration supports coordination with clinical and cross-functional teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manages day-to-day execution of marketing and growth initiatives, including calendars, campaigns, timelines, and deliverables.
Owns and manages the social media strategy and content calendar, overseeing publishing, audience engagement, performance tracking, and optimization across key platforms.
Coordinates website, SEO, paid media, and other digital marketing activities with external agency partners, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and performance expectations are met.
Monitors campaign performance, lead generation, conversion trends, and marketing KPIs, and supports optimization of the patient acquisition funnel from lead generation through completed consultation.
Supports CRM/HubSpot governance, lead-source tracking, attribution, and reporting.
Partners with Customer Engagement and Care Coordination teams to identify lead quality, conversion barriers, and funnel drop-off; supports surgeon-specific marketing plans, referral development campaigns, and new-market launch initiatives.
Prepares recurring marketing and growth performance reports and identifies opportunities to improve marketing efficiency, conversion, engagement, and ROI.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance sufficient to meet the position's operational, patient-service, and team obligations, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Complies with applicable laws, regulations, accreditation requirements, privacy and security standards (including HIPAA, where applicable), and organizational policies relevant to the position.
MARGINAL / OCCASIONAL FUNCTIONS
Supports photography, video, or content editing for social media when additional capacity is needed.
Assists with ad hoc marketing, growth, or cross-functional projects as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs and reviews the day-to-day work, assignments, and quality of output of the Marketing and Partnerships Coordinator and coordinates the work of external marketing vendors and agencies. Does not have unilateral authority over hiring, termination, or compensation decisions; provides input into these decisions as requested by Human Resources and the Director of Strategic Growth.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience: 4+ years of marketing experience, preferably in healthcare, medical services, consumer health, or another highly regulated industry; 2+ years of experience managing marketing programs, projects, vendors, or cross-functional initiatives, including lead generation, patient/customer acquisition, and conversion-focused marketing.

Knowledge/Skills: Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, content, SEO, paid media, and conversion optimization; ability to interpret digital analytics and translate performance into actionable recommendations; experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms; strong project management, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills; understanding of patient privacy and healthcare marketing compliance requirements when handling sensitive patient content.
Other: Ability to travel occasionally for agency meetings, market launches, or events.
