This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Analyst based in India.
This is a senior business analysis role supporting complex healthcare interoperability and digital health initiatives. You will help enable the secure exchange of health information across systems, organizations, and care settings. Working across clinical, business, technical, vendor, and healthcare stakeholders, you will translate complex needs into clear and actionable requirements. The role combines process analysis, data mapping, solution support, testing, and implementation coordination throughout the project lifecycle. You will contribute to initiatives involving healthcare integration standards, including HL7 v2 and HL7 FHIR, while helping teams navigate technical and business challenges. - Lead business analysis activities across healthcare interoperability and digital health initiatives.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Analyze and document data mappings between source systems and target solutions.
- Apply knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and protocols, including HL7 v2 and HL7 FHIR.
- Collaborate with clinical, business, technical, vendor, and other healthcare stakeholders to align requirements and solutions.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, meetings, and working sessions.
- Document key decisions, action items, outcomes, and project requirements.
- Analyze current-state and future-state business processes to identify gaps, opportunities, and impacts.
- Troubleshoot and coordinate the resolution of integration, interoperability, data exchange, and business-process issues.
- Develop business process models, workflows, use cases, business rules, metrics, and KPIs.
- Prepare project documentation, presentations, reports, and briefings for senior leadership.
- Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases, and coordinate system, integration, and UAT testing.
- Support QA, implementation, deployment, and go-live activities.
- Contribute to technology evaluation, procurement, and implementation initiatives.
- Support organizational change management and stakeholder-impact assessments.
- Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation activities.
- Provide recommendations and analytical leadership to project teams and stakeholders.
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while adapting to changing priorities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience within a healthcare environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on healthcare data integration or interoperability projects.
- Practical knowledge of HL7 v2 and HL7 FHIR standards.
- Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards, protocols, and data exchange practices.
- Experience performing data mapping between healthcare systems.
- Experience with healthcare integration, interoperability, and digital health initiatives.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and healthcare information workflows.
- Strong ability to define and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Experience with system integration, data exchange, business process analysis, and process improvement.
- Proven ability to facilitate stakeholder workshops and structured requirements-gathering sessions.
- Experience working in large, complex, and highly collaborative multi-stakeholder environments.
- Experience developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases and supporting system, integration, and UAT testing.
- Familiarity with organizational change management and stakeholder-impact assessment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
