Our Technology organization is seeking an Engineering Manager who will report to the Director, Application Development & Quality Assurance and lead strategic software engineering initiatives across the HALO marketplace platform and other enterprise applications. This leader will be responsible for engineering execution, people leadership, architecture governance, operational excellence, and vendor collaboration while helping scale Arise’s next-generation platforms.
What you will take on (Core Competencies):
1. Engineering Leadership & Team Development
- Lead software engineers, and AI engineering resources
- Establish engineering standards and development best practices
- Conduct performance management, coaching, mentoring, and career development
- Build high-performing teams focused on accountability and delivery
- Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement
2. Software Delivery & Program Execution
- Drive successful execution of platform initiatives from concept through production
- Manage Agile delivery, sprint planning, roadmap execution, and release readiness
- Coordinate internal and external vendor teams
- Identify delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure predictable delivery of business-critical capabilities
3. Application Architecture & Platform Strategy
- Guide architectural decisions across web, API, cloud, and data platforms
- Review solution designs and ensure scalability and maintainability
- Support modernization initiatives across .NET, Salesforce, AWS, and emerging technologies
- Evaluate new technology opportunities and technical debt reduction efforts
- Establish long-term platform roadmaps
4. Cloud & Enterprise Platform Engineering
- Support cloud-native application architectures
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Data Services teams
- Ensure platform resiliency, availability, and scalability
- Drive operational readiness and production support excellence
5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage third-party development partners and software vendors
- Oversee knowledge transfer and documentation activities
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, Security, Infrastructure, and Executive Leadership
- Communicate technical strategy and delivery progress to business stakeholders
6. Quality Engineering & Governance
- Champion quality-first development practices
- Support test automation and release governance frameworks
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and audit requirements
- Drive continuous improvement through metrics and operational insights
Our new team member will need:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 10+ years software engineering experience
• 5+ years people leadership experience
• Experience managing enterprise software development teams
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, APIs, and web platforms
• Experience with Python, React, .NET, AWS, and enterprise integrations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
