Position Description: Non-Exempt | Project Services Division | 8-25 Years Experience

What You'll Do

Senior Design Leadership Lead complex civil/structural design projects for petrochemical and industrial clients, working with advanced 3D modeling and traditional design methods. Ensure all designs meet stringent industry standards and client specifications.

Technical Mastery Analyze sophisticated project data including point cloud, survey, and geotechnical information. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of refinery project phases from front-end loading through detailed design.

Project Excellence Coordinate with multiple disciplines while maintaining project schedules and quality standards. Review critical vendor documents and provide technical guidance on complex design challenges.

What You Bring

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Education: 2-year degree from technical school
  • Experience: 8-25 years in civil/structural design
  • Industry: Petrochemical/heavy industrial background required
  • Technical Skills: Expert-level structural steel, civil, concrete, earthwork design
  • Software: AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Civil 3D, Navisworks, MS Office
  • Codes: AISC, IBC, ACI codes and OSHA requirements knowledge
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license, ability to obtain TWIC card

Essential Requirements
  • Project management and reporting tools proficiency
  • Detailed refinery project engineering understanding
  • Laser scan and point cloud data experience
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time.
  • Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering calls.
  • Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary.
  • Visual acuity sufficient for reading documents, computer screens, and technical materials.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally in-person, by phone, and via video conferencing.
  • Hearing ability adequate for meetings, presentations, and collaboration.
  • Ability to concentrate and maintain attention for extended periods while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends as business needs require.
  • Able to travel to job sites (local and/or remote) as project needs require.
  • Able to work in heavy industrial environments while wearing required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, fire-retardant clothing, gloves, etc.).
  • Able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on elevated surfaces.
  • Able to walk on uneven terrain and surfaces.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and industrial environments during site visits.
