About the Role:
The Cook-Hourly position is essential in delivering high-quality food preparation and service within the accommodation and food services industry. This role focuses on preparing ingredients, cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards, and ensuring food safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly followed. The cook will work collaboratively with kitchen staff to maintain efficient kitchen operations and timely meal service. Attention to detail and consistency in food presentation and taste are critical to enhancing guest satisfaction. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the overall dining experience by producing delicious, safe, and visually appealing meals in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a food preparation or cooking role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Capability to work standing for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment safely.

- Culinary certification or formal training in cooking.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Familiarity with inventory management and portion control.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to manage food inventory and minimize waste.
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, checking for quality and freshness.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is served at optimal quality.
- Adapt to changing menu items and special dietary requests as needed.
- Support the kitchen team during peak service hours to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.
