Product Manager IT Cooling Systems

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager – IT Cooling Systems based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, engineering, and market development, focusing on next-generation IT cooling solutions for high-density computing environments. You will shape the vision and roadmap for innovative thermal management products used in data centers and industrial IT infrastructure. Working closely with engineering, sales, and marketing teams, you will translate market needs into technically viable, customer-focused solutions. The role has strong influence on product positioning, pricing strategy, and go-to-market execution. It requires a balance of technical understanding and commercial acumen to drive adoption in a competitive and fast-evolving market. You will also act as a key voice of the product internally and externally, ensuring alignment across stakeholders. The environment is collaborative, innovation-driven, and globally connected.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and own the product vision and roadmap for IT cooling systems, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, define product strategy, and guide future development.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to define product requirements, ensure technical feasibility, and support the development of innovative cooling solutions.
  • Define pricing strategy and product positioning based on value proposition, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Support go-to-market execution by working with marketing and sales teams to create product messaging, launch materials, and sales enablement tools.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and product usage data to identify improvement opportunities and inform product iterations.
  • Act as the key product expert, ensuring clear communication of product benefits and capabilities across internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of product management experience, ideally within climate control systems, IT cooling, or rack-based infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, from concept development through launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams on technically complex hardware or industrial products.
  • Solid business acumen with experience in pricing strategy, market positioning, and competitive analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear customer-facing messaging.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% as required.
