Legal Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Legal Project Manager based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of legal operations, healthcare compliance, and project management, supporting a fast-growing healthcare organization with national reach. The Legal Project Manager will play a key role in coordinating legal and compliance initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring regulatory alignment and operational efficiency. This position involves managing legal workflows, supporting healthcare regulatory matters, and driving cross-functional projects that impact clinical operations and business performance. The environment is dynamic and highly collaborative, requiring strong organizational discipline and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will work closely with attorneys, compliance leaders, and operational stakeholders to support contract management, policy development, and risk mitigation. This is a high-visibility role where your work directly contributes to regulatory integrity and organizational scalability.

Accountabilities:
  • Support the Legal and Compliance teams by managing project workflows, tracking deliverables, and ensuring timely execution of legal and regulatory initiatives, while maintaining organized documentation and structured processes.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research related to healthcare compliance, payer requirements, licensing, and state/federal regulations, and assist in preparing legal memoranda, policy documents, and contract templates.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to support compliance investigations, dispute resolution, and litigation-related tasks.
  • Develop presentations, training materials, and internal communications to support legal education and compliance awareness across the organization.
  • Manage administrative and operational support functions including file organization, reporting, and utilization of legal and project management tools to ensure workflow efficiency.
  • Assist leadership in monitoring deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring alignment between legal objectives and operational execution.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in healthcare paralegal work, legal operations, or project management within a law firm or healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks, physician licensing, and compliance processes, with experience supporting legal and compliance functions in complex organizations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently, demonstrating strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and deadline management.
  • Proficiency with legal and productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Monday.com, Slack, and other workflow management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong proofreading abilities and experience preparing formal legal or compliance documentation.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment, with strong judgment, initiative, and problem-solving capabilities.
