Located in Big Sky, Montana, Lone Mountain Ranch is a historic guest ranch situated on 148 acres in the heart of the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. About the Role
The AM Line Cook plays a key role in creating exceptional breakfast and lunch experiences for guests at Lone Mountain Ranch. From preparing made-to-order dishes to maintaining beautifully presented buffet offerings, this position helps ensure every guest starts their day with a memorable dining experience.
This role is ideal for a cook who enjoys the fast pace of morning service, takes pride in presentation and consistency, and thrives in a collaborative kitchen environment. The AM Line Cook works closely with both culinary and front-of-house teams to deliver high-quality food, maintain buffet standards, and support smooth operations throughout breakfast and lunch service.
What You’ll Do- Prepare and execute breakfast and lunch menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Set up, maintain, and replenish breakfast and lunch buffets to ensure freshness, presentation, and food safety
- Organize and maintain well-stocked line stations to support efficient service
- Complete daily prep work and production to ensure readiness for current and future meal periods
- Monitor food quality, temperatures, and presentation throughout service
- Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special guest requests with attention to detail
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and buffet environment
- Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning procedures for kitchen stations and equipment
- Work collaboratively with culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen culture focused on teamwork and hospitality
- Previous culinary experience in a restaurant, resort, lodge, or hospitality setting preferred
- Experience with breakfast, lunch, or buffet service preferred
- Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Strong knife skills and understanding of food preparation techniques
- Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy breakfast and lunch service periods
- Strong attention to detail, food quality, and presentation
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience
- Flexible schedule availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
