In this role, you will take ownership of complex, large-scale network deployment initiatives within a high-performance, multi-vendor infrastructure environment. You will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing advanced networking solutions that support global enterprise operations and ensure high availability and performance. This position combines deep technical expertise with project leadership, requiring you to drive network implementations, migrations, and upgrades across distributed systems. You will act as a key technical authority during critical incidents, providing guidance and escalation support for complex operational issues. The role also involves close collaboration with global engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of networking projects. You will contribute to building resilient, automated, and scalable network architectures that support business growth. This is a highly impactful role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced, mission-critical infrastructure environments.
- Design, plan, and lead implementation of complex enterprise network solutions across large-scale, multi-site, and multi-vendor environments.
- Define project scope, validate requirements, and develop detailed network designs, schedules, and execution plans for deployment initiatives.
- Create work breakdown structures (WBS) and implementation plans to ensure controlled, low-impact network changes and upgrades.
- Lead network migration, upgrade, and transformation projects, including highly automated and coordinated maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex networking issues across routing, switching, and infrastructure layers.
- Build and validate lab environments to simulate production issues and test network solutions before deployment.
- Provide escalation support during outages and critical incidents, ensuring timely restoration of services.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, including network configurations, design diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with vendors and carriers for circuit provisioning, troubleshooting, and end-to-end delivery of network services.
- Mentor and guide network engineers and cross-functional teams, contributing to overall technical capability and operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering, network operations, or infrastructure support roles.
- Strong expertise in enterprise and large-scale network environments, including multi-vendor and global infrastructures.
- Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP, and multicast (PIM).
- Hands-on experience with WAN technologies including MPLS, SR-TE, DWDM, DMVPN, and SD-WAN.
- Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS, Arista EOS, and Linux-based networking platforms.
- Understanding of virtualization and overlay technologies including VXLAN, VRFs, BGP-MP, VMware, Kubernetes, or Docker.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for diagnosing complex, high-impact network issues.
- Experience in automation or scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
