Job Description

Field Co-op - Residential Construction

We are seeking a motivated and dependable high school Field Co-Op to support our Production team in the day-to-day construction of residential homes. This hands-on, supervised role is designed for students interested in exploring a career in construction.
The co-op will gain exposure to the homebuilding process while assisting Project Managers with basic on-site tasks and learning industry best practices in a safe, structured environment.
Position Requirements
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Support light material handling, delivery staging, and site organization (within safety guidelines)
  • Shadow team members to learn daily construction operations
  • Participate in supervised job site walks to observe construction progress and workmanship
  • Learn how to read basic plans and understand different phases of home construction
  • Observe safety practices, building standards, and inspection processes
  • Assist with basic documentation, checklists, and organization of project information
  • Support the team with simple administrative or coordination tasks as needed
  • Assist with preparing homes for walkthroughs (cleaning, organizing materials, minor touch-ups)
  • Help track and complete basic punch list items under supervision
Position Requirements
  • Currently enrolled as a high school student or college student
  • OSHA 10-hour Construction certification required
  • Willingness to learn, positive attitude, reliability, and ability to follow direction
  • Ability to be on active job sites, work outdoors in varying conditions, and perform light lifting (within safe limits)
  • All duties are performed under the direct supervision of experienced team members
