Position Summary

As the Business Lead for Fleet Charging, you are the trustee of the Fleet channel. You will lead the business for rideshare, gig economy and other commercial drivers charging on EVgo’s public fast charging network. You will be responsible for scaling throughput, accelerating revenue growth, and maximizing margins across the network.

This is a commercial, entrepreneurial, full-funnel ownership role: you will set the strategy and orchestrate the execution across the critical levers of Partnerships, Pricing, Product and Promotions. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires a rare blend of strategic vision, analytical rigor, and operational execution.

The ideal candidate is a builder, commercial leader, strategic operator, and trusted relationship-builder driven to make a real impact on the future of transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the Fleet channel throughput, revenue and margin targets. Build the operating plan, manage the forecast, and monitor key performance metrics. Identify gaps and take action to optimize channel health — fast.
  • Develop and agree the Fleet channel strategy: including the critical levers of product, price, and promotions. Develop market sizing, competitive positioning, driver segmentation, and channel prioritization. Translate strategy into roadmaps with clear milestones.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic relationships with rideshare platforms, fleet operators, and fleet management aggregators.
  • Design and evaluate promotional and incentive campaigns to boost driver acquisition, usage, engagement, and loyalty.
  • Serve as the primary business voice for Fleet in the product development process. Define requirements, prioritize the roadmap with the Product team, and champion the driver experience from first charge to loyalty.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Fleet and commercial charging customers, including usage patterns, pricing sensitivities, and operational constraints, and use insights to inform strategy and roadmap priorities.
  • Represent EVgo externally as a thought leader in fleet public charging, as needed, with partners, customers, and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.

Desired Skills

  • Proven experience managing a significant revenue line with accountability for measurable outcomes.
  • Data-driven decision maker with sharp commercial instincts. Advanced data proficiency with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and partner management skills. At ease working on complex commercial partnerships.
  • Highly collaborative leader with the ability to influence and rally cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Pricing, Finance) toward a unified goal.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and senior external partners, including C‑suite and VP-level counterparts.
  • Experience operating in or adjacent to the gig economy, rideshare ecosystem, or commercial fleet logistics is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Benefits and Perks

  • Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus mental wellbeing support and wellness programs
  • Financial Benefits: 401(k), Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for medical and dependent care, life and disability insurance
  • Work-Life Support: Uncapped paid time off, enhanced parental leave, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Care Navigation & Support: Access to Health Advocate services for help with claims, provider searches, and care decisions
  • Flexible Care Options: Telehealth services for convenient, low-cost access to care
  • Growth & Development: Mentorship programs and opportunities for career growth and internal mobility
  • Additional Perks: Monthly Tech Stipend, one-time home office setup reimbursement, Volunteer time off, commuter benefits, and employee focused programs

Additional Information

  • Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer discretionary target cash bonuses, restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, unbounded paid time off including parental leave, and a 401(k).
