Staff Psychologist in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania at Children Service Center

This position provides professional work in the field of clinical psychology.

Qualifications:

A doctoral degree in the field of psychology or educational psychology, including a one-year internship; One year of post-doctoral experience in the field of psychology; and Licensure by the State of Pennsylvania in Psychology. A history of supervising mental health clinicians, interns, practicum students, etc. is desirable. Membership in appropriate national, state and local psychological associations is desirable.

• Thorough knowledge of mental health, and mental illness, their symptoms, treatment and social implications.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles and methods of psychology involving testing, diagnostic evaluation and psychotherapy.
• Thorough knowledge of child and developmental psychology.
• Considerable knowledge of the application of psychology to individual and group behavior.
• Considerable knowledge of the principles and methods of psychological research.
