PHYSICIAN - RADIATION ONCOLGY

Radiation Oncologist Opportunity in NE Ohio!

The Aultman Cancer Center is seeking a highly qualified radiation oncologist to further grow Aultman’s radiation oncology capabilities. The candidate should be skilled in external beam image guided and intensity modulated radiation therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiotherapy, high dose rate brachytherapy for gynecologic cancers, and low dose rate seed implants for prostate cancer. Aultman opened a new 45,000 sq foot, $28M comprehensive cancer facility, The Timken Family Cancer Center, in the fall of 2022!!

Aultman Cancer Center’s dedicated team of professionals provide compassionate and personalized cancer care to our community with state-of-the-art technology including:

  • Two new Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators equipped with RapidArc, HyperArc, 4D CBCT, and the Varian Identify system with surface guided radiation therapy.
  • Brand new GE Discovery 16 slice CT with deviceless gating and a Nucletron high dose rate brachytherapy system.

Our Opportunity Provides

  • A comprehensive complement of other cancer specialists including medical oncology, radiation oncology, general surgeons, fellowship trained breast surgery, thoracic surgery, urology, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, pathology and palliative care.
  • A demand for services - approximately 2000 new cancer cases annually across the system.
  • A dedicated team of professionals committed to providing compassionate and personalized cancer care to our community with state-of-the-art technology and exceptional talent, including access to supportive services such as nurse navigators, a dedicated pharmacist, dietitian services, social workers, and several community support groups.
  • Proven quality through our accreditations by the Commission on Cancer, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, and the American College of Radiation Oncology.
  • Access to research and clinical trials with a nationally recognized clinical trials department managing over 37 active clinical trials open.
  • Academic participation in the form of clinical appointment at local medical school, lectures, rotations, research and education in our teaching programs available.

About The Timken Family Cancer Center

  • 45,000 Sq. foot two-story facility with a modern design that enhances collaboration between healthcare team members
  • 13,270 Sq. Ft. Renovation of Radiation Oncology including a complete upgrade of technology and equipment
  • Multidisciplinary clinic space
  • Infusion areas that expand patient privacy and improve treatment

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited training program in Radiation Oncology
  • Board Certified/Eligible by the ABMS or AOA in Radiation Oncology
  • Valid and unrestricted Ohio medical license, or ability to obtain
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization to promote a culture of patient safety and a commitment to medical education
  • Ability and desire to support a growing team and align with the needs of the program
