Housing Data and Administrative Specialist

Do you have a passion for supporting individuals and families in need of healthcare, housing, and community services? Community of Hope is seeking a full-time Housing Data and Administrative Specialist to join our mission-driven Housing team. In this role, you will help strengthen housing program operations through the administration and oversight of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), ensuring accurate data collection, management, and reporting. You will also support compliance and risk management efforts. Join a team dedicated to ending homelessness and making a meaningful impact in the community every day. This position is located at Stanton Commons in Southeast Washington, DC.

What You’ll Do
- Maintains and enforces data standards for HMIS.
- Communicates with The Community Partnership (TCP) regarding HMIS issues, processes, and reports when Housing Data and Evaluation Manager is unavailable.
- Provides ongoing training and technical assistance to staff.
- Creates and runs internal monitoring reports such as ART reports, income, goal and case note reports as tools for continuous data quality assurance to assist the Housing Data and Evaluation Manager, Program Directors, and Senior Directors monitor staff and program performance.
- Oversees client satisfaction survey submission process for all housing programs.
- Oversees daily log submission for Short Term Family Housing.
- Collaborates with the Youth Engagement Specialist to collect and monitor student attendance for Short Term Family Housing, Girard St. Apts., and Hope Apts.
- Assists in the preparation of reports for TCP, HUD, DHS, the COH Board of Directors, foundations, etc. per the requirements.
- Assists Housing Data and Evaluation Manager with the scheduling and development of agendas for staff meetings such as Housing Department meetings, coordinating event logistics as needed.
- Assists the Vice President of Housing Programs and Policy and the Housing Data and Evaluation Manager with returning calls and administrative tasks.
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
- Prior office or administrative experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and thorough manner
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and ask for support as needed
- Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Working knowledge of HMIS or ability to quickly learn to use the database.
- Ability to travel to other sites as needed.
