General Manager, Workload

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a General Manager, Workload based in the United States.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategy, commercial performance, and product direction of a critical portfolio focused on securing machine identities and workload communications in modern enterprise environments. You will operate at the intersection of product, engineering, and go-to-market, shaping how organizations protect non-human identities across cloud and hybrid infrastructures. The role combines strategic ownership with operational accountability, requiring strong business acumen and deep understanding of cybersecurity and identity markets. You will influence roadmap priorities, market positioning, and revenue growth while partnering closely with engineering and sales leaders. Operating in a highly matrixed environment, you will align multiple functions around a unified growth strategy. This is a high-visibility role with significant impact on product direction, customer outcomes, and long-term business expansion.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the end-to-end business performance of the Workload portfolio, including ARR growth, retention, expansion, and overall P&L accountability.
  • Define and execute the multi-quarter strategy and roadmap for workload security solutions, including machine identity, secrets management, and non-human identity use cases.
  • Translate market demand and customer needs into prioritized product and investment decisions aligned with revenue and differentiation goals.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance to ensure cohesive execution of strategy.
  • Develop and own the market narrative and positioning for workload security solutions, ensuring strong differentiation in a competitive cybersecurity landscape.
  • Support strategic enterprise deals, customer engagements, advisory boards, and executive-level conversations to drive adoption and expansion.
  • Oversee pricing, packaging, and commercial strategy to optimize growth, profitability, and market penetration.
  • Lead and influence teams across a matrixed organization, ensuring clear priorities, accountability, and execution discipline.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or identity-focused technology leadership roles.
  • 3+ years of experience in VP, GM, or equivalent senior leadership roles with P&L or business ownership responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise security domains such as IAM, PAM, machine identity, workload security, or zero trust architectures.
  • Proven ability to define product strategy and translate market signals into scalable commercial and technical execution plans.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience driving ARR growth, retention, expansion, and pipeline performance.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise buyers including developers, platform engineers, DevSecOps teams, and security executives.
  • Experience operating in complex, matrixed environments requiring influence without direct authority.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical and commercial concepts.
  • Experience with cybersecurity compliance frameworks and enterprise security requirements is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
  • Strong leadership presence with experience engaging customers, partners, and internal executive stakeholders.
