Job Description

Developer Portal & Community Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Developer Portal & Community Manager based in Turkey.

This role sits at the core of how a highly technical, open hardware product is documented, understood, and adopted by its global developer community. You will own the Developer Portal end-to-end, shaping it into a clear, structured, and reliable source of truth for engineers, contributors, and enthusiasts. Working closely with hardware and software teams, you will transform complex internal development activity into accessible public documentation and meaningful community updates. This is a hands-on technical communication role where understanding the product deeply is essential, not just explaining it. You will also act as a bridge between engineering teams and the external community, ensuring feedback flows both ways effectively. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-moving, and deeply rooted in transparency and open development.

Accountabilities:
  • Own, structure, and continuously improve the Developer Portal, ensuring it remains accurate, organized, and useful for external contributors and developers.
  • Translate internal engineering discussions, technical updates, and product changes into clear, accessible public documentation.
  • Maintain and organize wiki pages, GitHub repositories, and developer-facing resources across multiple sub-projects.
  • Participate in engineering discussions and team calls to stay aligned with ongoing development work and product direction.
  • Moderate community contributions, discussions, issues, and pull requests to ensure quality, relevance, and constructive collaboration.
  • Collect and synthesize feedback from the developer community and relay meaningful insights back to internal teams.
  • Ensure communication within the community remains structured, productive, and aligned with project goals.
  • Help developers understand how to navigate the portal, contribute effectively, and engage with the ecosystem.
Requirements
  • Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to produce clear technical documentation, guides, or README-style content.
  • Solid understanding of software development workflows, including Git, branches, commits, and pull requests.
  • Ability to break down complex technical concepts into simple, structured explanations, supported by diagrams or flowcharts where needed.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to extract key insights from technical discussions.
  • Comfortable working closely with engineers and engaging in technical conversations across hardware and software domains.
  • Ability to distinguish valuable feedback from noise and maintain focus on high-quality contributions and discussions.
  • Strong organizational mindset, with a focus on structure, clarity, and information architecture.
  • Genuine interest in developer tools, hardware products, open-source ecosystems, and build-in-public development culture.
  • Fluency in both English and Russian for cross-team and community communication.
  • Experience or familiarity with DevRel, technical writing, community management, or developer portals is a strong advantage.
Benefits
  • Fully remote position with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world.
  • Provided equipment to ensure a productive and comfortable remote working setup.
  • Health and wellness benefits, including medical coverage, therapy sessions, and sports-related programs.
  • Access to language learning support and professional development opportunities.
  • Flexible working hours with a structured five-day workweek.
  • Opportunity to work closely with cutting-edge open hardware and software projects.
  • Direct impact on how a global developer community understands and engages with a major product ecosystem.
  • Collaborative, transparent, and engineering-driven work environment.
