Sr. AI Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. AI Engineer based in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced Sr. AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-scale artificial intelligence solutions that drive measurable business impact. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, offering the opportunity to shape AI architecture, data ecosystems, and automation initiatives across a complex organization. You will work at the forefront of emerging AI technologies, building scalable platforms and intelligent solutions that support operational excellence and innovation. Collaborating closely with executive leadership, technology teams, and business stakeholders, you will help define and execute AI strategies that align with long-term business objectives. This position is ideal for a hands-on engineering leader who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys transforming advanced AI capabilities into practical, enterprise-wide solutions. The role offers significant ownership, visibility, and influence over the future direction of AI initiatives.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the architecture, development, deployment, and ongoing support of enterprise AI applications, platforms, and integrations.
  • Design and implement scalable AI solutions, including data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, and system integrations.
  • Serve as a key technical expert and advisor for AI technologies, operations, governance, and enterprise adoption strategies.
  • Ensure data readiness, platform scalability, and system reliability to support current and future AI initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain AI governance frameworks that incorporate responsible AI principles, security requirements, privacy considerations, and risk management practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement across enterprise application, data, infrastructure, and architecture domains.
  • Establish and enhance security, compliance, availability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience capabilities.
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define AI roadmaps, evaluate emerging technologies, and guide strategic decision-making.
  • Lead complex technical initiatives from concept through implementation while providing escalation support and architectural guidance.
  • Promote AI adoption across the organization by building strong stakeholder relationships and translating complex technical concepts into business value.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, enterprise automation, infrastructure ownership, software engineering, or related technical disciplines.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, database architecture, schema design, graph and relational databases, or related enterprise systems.
  • Strong expertise with the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technology ecosystem.
  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing systems and applications in cloud-based environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working with modern AI technologies, platforms, and tools, including large language models, generative AI solutions, copilots, and intelligent automation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of AI architecture, data pipelines, systems integration, and enterprise-scale deployment practices.
  • Knowledge of AI governance, regulatory considerations, responsible AI frameworks, privacy requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience developing custom code, scripts, automation workflows, and technical solutions that support enterprise operations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a strategic mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience guiding technical initiatives and influencing architectural decisions.
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying current with evolving AI technologies, trends, and best practices.
