Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits and Operations
Purpose of the Position:
We are seeking a highly analytical and process-oriented Senior Manager to lead our Compensation & Benefits (C&B) and Operations team. This role is pivotal in managing our global C&B functions, ensuring compliance, and driving operational excellence through process reengineering and AI-enabled innovation. You will partner closely with the Finance Department and People Business Partners to manage people costs, while managing our annual compensation cycles and retention initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
C&B Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management
- Supervise end-to-end C&B operations, acting as the primary checker for all regular and casual payroll, final payments, retirement schemes, MPF, and pension contributions across Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia, and the US.
- Oversee daily People Operations, including core employee lifecycle processes (onboarding workflows, staff movements, offboarding, and certifications).
- Lead annual audits, including HR walkthroughs, payroll document preparation, and addressing auditor enquiries.
- Validate relocation and medical-related payments to ensure policy compliance.
- Lead policy renewals and internal communications via our internal portals.
People Cost Management & Strategic Planning
- Collaborate closely with the Finance department and People Business Partners to manage the people cost budget, orchestrate annual forecasts, and drive new strategic initiatives.
- Provide robust tools and rolling forecast templates to enable ongoing cost monitoring and support manpower planning.
Annual Exercises & Retention
- Lead the end-to-end execution of annual review cycles, including salary reviews, bonuses, promotions, market benchmarking, and ad hoc reviews.
- Design and administer incentive schemes and long-term compensation strategies that support a performance-driven culture, utilizing data analytics to align with business objectives.
System Management & Process Improvement
- Act as the steward of our HRIS and peripheral applications, ensuring smooth daily operations, data accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Partner with the Product & Technology (P&T) team and external vendors to implement system upgrades, portal enhancements, and digital workflows.
- Champion operational excellence through cross-functional team collaboration, process reengineering and AI-enabled innovation.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in C&B and HR operations in MNC or conglomerate.
- Experience in leading digital transformation or automation projects within an HR function.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and vendors
- Proficient in HRIS platforms with strong skills in data analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrates an analytical mindset and the ability to interpret complex data to support strategic decision-making
- Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
