Job Description
The Community Engagement & Partnerships Specialist supports the Vice President of Business Development and Support Services by developing and maintaining strategic relationships with community organizations, tribal governments, schools, employers, correctional facilities, and other key stakeholders. This position coordinates community outreach initiatives, special events, partnership opportunities, and strategic projects that advance the hospital’s mission and strategic goals. The Specialist also provides executive and administrative support, assists with communications and marketing initiatives, and helps track strategic initiatives, contracts, and community engagement activities.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with regional healthcare providers, clinics, hospitals, tribal health organizations, schools, employers, community agencies, governmental partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Serve as a representative of Cibola General Hospital at community meetings, healthcare coalitions, conferences, networking events, outreach activities, and stakeholder gatherings.
- Coordinate community engagement initiatives, outreach efforts, presentations, and strategic partnership activities that support organizational growth, patient access, and community health initiatives.
- Identify and cultivate opportunities for collaboration, referral development, and partnership expansion that advance organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Plan, coordinate, and promote community events, health fairs, educational programs, employee engagement activities, and public outreach efforts.
- Maintain a community partner database and track outreach activities, partnership engagement, referral opportunities, event participation, and partnership outcomes.
- Provide executive and administrative support, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, minute-taking, action item tracking, travel arrangements, reimbursement requests, and special projects.
- Assist with strategic planning initiatives, project management activities, and monitoring progress toward organizational goals.
- Maintain contract tracking, licensing renewals, and other assigned administrative and compliance processes.
- Draft and coordinate communications, presentations, reports, newsletters, social media content, promotional materials, and other marketing and public relations initiatives.
- Support internal communications efforts that promote employee engagement and organizational awareness.
- Review and understand established organizational and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and quality improvement programs.
- Maintain professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, training, workshops, conferences, and professional organizations.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Communication Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Knowledge of marketing principles, communications strategies, branding, and public relations practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM systems, website management tools, and digital marketing applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Education:
- High School Diploma required.
Work Experience:
- Experience in public health or community-based health programs or a combination of experience, training and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Preferred Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor level degree from an accredited college/university in Marketing, Communications, Business, Healthcare Administration, or similar field
