Construction Laborer in Virginia Beach, Virginia at AREMCO Inc

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and versatile Construction Laborer to support daily job site operations. This role requires a “jack of all trades” mindset, with the ability to assist across multiple phases of construction while working closely with the Project Manager. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable using a variety of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with general construction tasks including demolition, site prep, framing, and finishing work

• Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment safely and efficiently

• Support the Project Manager with job-related tasks, including material handling, site organization, and task coordination

• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site

• Follow instructions and complete tasks independently or as part of a team

• Assist skilled trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.) as needed

• Perform basic repairs and troubleshooting on-site issues

Qualifications:

• Previous construction or general labor experience

• Ability to use common hand and power tools

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills

• Ability to take direction and adapt to changing job site needs

• Basic understanding of construction processes and safety practices

• Reliable transportation and punctuality required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly

• Comfortable working in various weather conditions

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience in multiple trades (carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.)

• OSHA certification or familiarity with job site safety standards
