Manager, Product Line

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Product Line based in Australia.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the strategic growth of innovative renewable energy solutions across international markets.
You will own product strategy, roadmap development, and commercial performance for a key product portfolio supporting the global transition to clean energy.
Working across engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and finance teams, you will translate customer needs into market-leading solutions.
The role combines strategic planning, technical understanding, and business leadership within a fast-moving global environment.
You will act as the voice of customers while identifying new opportunities to expand market share and profitability.

Accountabilities:

As the Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion by managing a strategic product portfolio across international markets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product direction, deliver customer-focused solutions, and strengthen market positioning.

  • Own product development initiatives for solar solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Drive market growth and maintain competitive positioning through new product introductions and portfolio expansion.
  • Develop and maintain multi-year product business plans covering revenue targets, market share, product development, margins, and growth strategies.
  • Create and manage long-term product roadmaps, including innovation opportunities, new product development, acquisitions, and portfolio optimization.
  • Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for the assigned product line, representing customer needs and market insights.
  • Act as the “Voice of the Customer” by translating market feedback into actionable product requirements.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, financial data, and technology developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with marketing teams to create effective product messaging, positioning, collateral, and go-to-market programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and strategic channel partners.
  • Provide clear product performance reporting, market analysis, and recommendations to leadership teams.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced product management professional with strong commercial, analytical, and strategic capabilities. You should have experience managing complex product portfolios and collaborating across technical and business functions in a global environment.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, including successful product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams.
  • Strong background in developing product strategies, business plans, and multi-year roadmaps.
  • Experience with product pricing, forecasting, portfolio management, and market analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to transform customer insights into product requirements and business opportunities.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to support strategic decisions and performance reporting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence customers, sales teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with business and productivity tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and CRM platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced business qualification preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25–35% for customer meetings, industry events, supplier visits, and company locations.
