Position Summary

As the Lead Backbone at MONEYGUN, you'll be a role model for the Backbone team, setting the standard for efficiency, cleanliness, communication, service standards, and hospitality. In addition to performing all Backbone responsibilities, you'll be responsible for ensuring the entire Backbone team moves as one and works seamlessly with the rest of the staff.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the creation and updating of Backbone training SOPs.
  • Attend the weekly Wednesday MOD meeting and contribute constructive feedback and ideas to improve service.
  • Train to support as MOD when needed.
  • Maintain the organization and workflow of all back-of-house prep areas.

Continue to execute all Backbone duties at the highest level, including:

  • Proactively stock the bar with everything needed to minimize trips off the floor.
  • Keep all guest-facing spaces clean and ready for service.
  • Greet guests and offer water when they approach the bar.
  • Clear bar tops and tables as guests finish drinks and food.
  • Run food whenever stationed or when volume demands it.
  • Wash, polish, and restock glassware.
  • Maintain dish machine chemical levels, ensure blades are unclogged, the drain grate is clean, and the interior is delimed.
  • Maintain organization of the liquor room, restock shelves, break down boxes, and keep the floor clean.
  • Maintain full stock of glassware behind the bar, replenishing from basement backstock when needed.
  • Make and maintain large ice cube production.
  • Notate any low stock or out-of-stock items by writing them on the liquor room dry erase board and communicating them to the MOD.
  • Confirm with each bartender before stepping away from the bar by letting them know the purpose for leaving, how long you'll be away, and asking if they need anything to avoid a second trip.
  • Restock back bar coolers and the back-of-house reach-in to predetermined pars before clocking out each night.
Requirements:

About You:

  • Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring team members preferred
  • Availability to work full-time (3 to 5 shifts per week), including late nights and weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent, reliable work ethic
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Able to move quickly and efficiently in a busy, tight-space environment
  • Comfortable supporting multiple team members and adapting to changing priorities throughout service
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for the duration of the shift
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
