Accountabilities:

The Salesforce Integration Architect will be responsible for defining, designing, and governing integration solutions that connect Salesforce platforms with enterprise applications and operational systems. This role requires ownership of architecture decisions, technical standards, and best practices that enable secure, scalable, and reliable integrations.

  • Define end-to-end integration architecture across Salesforce ecosystems, including Sales, Service, Marketing, and Industry Cloud environments.
  • Select and implement appropriate integration patterns, including synchronous, asynchronous, batch, and event-driven approaches.
  • Design integrations using Salesforce-native capabilities such as Platform Events, Change Data Capture, Composite APIs, and Connect APIs.
  • Architect solutions using enterprise middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica.
  • Lead architecture reviews, evaluate technical designs, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Establish API governance practices, including contract management, versioning strategies, and integration lifecycle processes.
  • Design high-volume data synchronization strategies between Salesforce and ERP, billing, and operational platforms.
  • Define security, authentication, and identity management patterns for Salesforce integrations, including OAuth and connected applications.
  • Develop reliable integration frameworks with robust error handling, retry mechanisms, and monitoring capabilities.
  • Optimize integration performance, scalability, and Salesforce governor-limit management for enterprise workloads.
  • Partner with security, engineering, and business teams to deliver solutions that meet operational and compliance requirements.
  • Mentor engineers through technical reviews, knowledge sharing, and architectural guidance.
  • Create clear architecture documentation, including diagrams, technical decisions, and reference designs.
  • Collaborate with technology vendors to evaluate integration platforms and ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Stay informed on Salesforce capabilities, integration technologies, and evolving enterprise architecture practices.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive Salesforce architecture experience, deep integration expertise, and the ability to lead complex technical initiatives while collaborating effectively with diverse teams.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of Salesforce experience, including significant experience designing complex integrations.
  • Strong expertise with Salesforce APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and integration capabilities.
  • Proven experience with enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica.
  • Deep understanding of integration architecture patterns and enterprise application connectivity.
  • Experience designing data synchronization strategies with ERP and operational systems.
  • Strong knowledge of identity management, OAuth flows, and secure integration practices.
  • Experience managing large-scale Salesforce integration programs from architecture through implementation.
  • Salesforce Certified Integration Architect certification required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, solve complex problems, and make sound architectural decisions.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical team development.
  • Familiarity with event-driven platforms such as Kafka, Solace, or Confluent is a plus.
  • Experience with high-volume integrations, Industry Clouds, or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is preferred.
