Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing in the United States.

This role is a senior commercial leadership position responsible for driving end-to-end sourcing strategy across Open Systems and Cloud client business. You will lead a dedicated procurement pod, overseeing all commercial activities from quoting and pricing to renewals, supplier management, and contract optimization. Acting as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, you will shape sourcing decisions that directly impact revenue, margins, and client outcomes. The position blends procurement expertise with strong business partnering, requiring close collaboration with sales, deal teams, and vendor management functions. You will also play a key role in improving procurement processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving innovation through data and technology. This is a high-impact leadership role in a fast-paced, matrixed environment where strategic thinking and execution excellence are critical.

Accountabilities:
  • Own end-to-end procurement activities for Open Systems and Cloud client business, including quoting, renewals, pricing strategy, supplier engagement, and asset management.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing procurement pod responsible for revenue-supporting commercial outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders on sourcing strategy, deal structuring, supplier risk, and commercial optimization.
  • Drive complex deal execution, including pricing strategy, bid management, and margin optimization for enterprise opportunities.
  • Partner with Vendor Management Office teams to ensure governance, compliance, and contract integrity.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as cycle time, deal velocity, savings, and throughput.
  • Continuously improve stakeholder experience across internal sales, solutioning, and client-facing teams.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvement, and innovation, including the use of analytics and automation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams within procurement or sourcing functions.
  • Proven experience supporting complex, high-value IT or technology-related deals.
  • Strong background in enterprise sourcing, commercial negotiations, and deal structuring.
  • Experience working in matrixed, fast-paced environments with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to own end-to-end commercial outcomes across the sourcing lifecycle (quote through renewal).
  • Preferred: MBA or advanced degree in business, finance, or supply chain.
  • Preferred: Experience in managed services or technology services organizations.
  • Strong analytical thinking with exposure to AI, automation, or data-driven sourcing approaches is a plus.
