We blend clinical expertise with individualized learning environments to help students build social skills, emotional regulation, and academic success.
Position Overview
The Classroom Lead is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the classroom, delivering tailored academic instruction, and fostering a supportive, structured environment. This role acts as the primary anchor for students, integrating specialized therapy insights and behavioral goal plans into daily classroom routines to ensure both academic and socio-emotional progress.
Key Responsibilities
• Classroom Management: Maintain a highly structured, safe, and positive classroom environment using therapeutic and trauma-informed behavioral management strategies.
• Therapeutic Integration: Partner closely with clinical staff and therapists to implement specialized therapeutic recommendations, sensory room breaks, and customized behavioral intervention plans.
• Goal Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and document student progress daily. Facilitate the collection of social skills data and behavioral milestone tracking using the Academy's digital system.
• Collaboration & Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for families regarding daily updates, and collaborate frequently with multidisciplinary teams (therapists, supervisors, and administration) to ensure holistic student support.
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience teaching or leading a classroom, preferably within an alternative school, special education setting, or therapeutic environment.
• Core Competencies:
o Strong working knowledge of behavioral intervention, emotional regulation techniques, and de-escalation strategies.
o Excellent communication skills for building trust with students, families, and clinicians.
o Proficiency with digital systems for inputting daily progress monitoring, behavioral tracking sheets, and digital forms.
• Attributes: High emotional intelligence, patience, adaptability, and a collaborative team mindset.
What We Offer
• Competitive salary and performance-based milestones.
• Comprehensive benefits package
• Robust professional development and continuous training in clinical and therapeutic classroom methodologies.
• A deeply collaborative and supportive team environment dedicated to making a tangible impact on youth development.
