This role sits at the intersection of engineering, system design, and customer-facing technical expertise within a cutting-edge audio, video, and control ecosystem. You will act as a key technical authority, supporting the deployment, configuration, and optimization of advanced AV solutions built on a cloud-connected platform. The position combines hands-on engineering work with training, consulting, and field engagement, requiring frequent collaboration with partners, integrators, and end users. You will play a critical role in translating complex technical capabilities into real-world system performance across diverse environments. In addition to implementation and troubleshooting, you will help shape product evolution by feeding real-world insights back into development teams. This is a highly dynamic role for someone who enjoys both deep technical problem-solving and customer-facing technical leadership.
- Collaborate with territory managers, channel partners, and end users to design, implement, and optimize advanced audio, video, and control system solutions.
- Deliver advanced technical training programs, develop curriculum, and lead seminars to upskill partners and customers on system capabilities.
- Provide onsite system commissioning, programming, troubleshooting, and high-level technical support for complex deployments.
- Represent the platform at trade shows and technical events, delivering demonstrations and presenting advanced technical concepts.
- Contribute to product development by capturing field feedback, customer use cases, and system performance insights.
- Communicate technical issues, enhancements, and customer needs to internal engineering and product teams.
- Mentor other engineers and act as a subject matter expert across the organization.
- Support the development of technical demonstrations used for sales, marketing, and training purposes.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the professional audio-visual, integrated systems, or control systems industry.
- Strong understanding of networked AV systems, DSP technologies, and control system architectures.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting (e.g., Lua) and familiarity with system integration workflows.
- Experience with third-party control systems such as Crestron, Extron, or AMX is highly valued.
- Knowledge of IT and networking fundamentals (e.g., CCNA, Network+ level understanding).
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Certifications such as CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D are considered strong assets.
- Ability to travel extensively across Canada as part of field responsibilities.
- Competitive salary ranging from approximately CAD $66,700 to $120,000 depending on experience and location
