Job Description
The Financial Controller will own the day-to-day financial operations of the company while actively leveraging AI, automation, and modern financial tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, reporting, and financial controls. This individual should be excited about identifying processes that can be automated or AI-assisted and implementing smarter, more scalable ways of working.

Own the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple Medici entities.
Manage accounts receivable, including membership billing, service invoicing, payment reconciliation, collections, and account maintenance.
Ensure all recurring membership and service invoices are generated accurately and on time.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable billing and payment tracking processes that ensure accurate invoicing, timely collections, and clear visibility into customer payment status.
Leverage AI, automation, and modern financial technology to streamline accounting and finance workflows, improve accuracy, reduce manual processes, and strengthen financial controls.
Proactively identify opportunities across accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation, reporting, forecasting, and other financial processes that can be automated or AI-assisted.
Evaluate and implement tools, workflows, and process improvements that create a more scalable and technology-enabled finance function.
Manage accounts payable, including vendor payments, contractor payments, employee reimbursements, expense review, and oversight of Bill.com workflows and approvals.
Maintain accurate financial records and oversee all activity within QuickBooks.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
Prepare monthly financial statements and provide reporting to leadership.
Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Coordinate payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments for employees and international contractors.
Partner with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors as needed.
Develop and improve financial processes, controls, billing workflows, and reporting procedures to support company growth.
Work closely with Operations, Care Concierge, and Leadership teams to ensure accurate billing, reporting, and financial management across the organization.
Identify process gaps, resolve financial discrepancies, and proactively improve operational efficiency.
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI, automation, or technology to improve finance and accounting processes, with the ability to identify opportunities to automate workflows, increase efficiency, improve accuracy, and strengthen financial controls.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or financial operations experience.
Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial controls.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to improve processes and build scalable financial workflows.
Experience working with accounting and financial management systems; QuickBooks experience preferred.
Experience with accounts payable and payment platforms such as Bill.com or similar systems preferred.
Experience with multi-entity financial operations, recurring revenue, memberships, subscriptions, or healthcare billing preferred.
CPA or similar professional accounting designation preferred, but not required.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of outcomes, and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
Curiosity and willingness to continuously evaluate emerging AI and financial technologies that can improve how the finance function operates.
