GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Inventory Replenishment Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process by coordinating inventory replenishment, maintaining ERP system accuracy, and supporting production scheduling activities. This role serves as a key liaison between Purchasing, Inventory Control, Material Handlers, Saw Operations, Production, and other manufacturing departments to ensure materials are available when needed and inventory transactions are completed accurately.
The coordinator actively monitors inventory levels, researches discrepancies, assists with inventory adjustments and cycle counts, creates and closes production work orders, and maintains real-time ERP updates to support efficient production operations. This position also partners with the Production Planner to optimize production schedules, expand production wheels, and improve material availability across multiple product lines.
Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills, the ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and a proactive approach to solving problems before they impact production.
SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES:
Inventory Replenishment Coordination
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment of raw materials, components, and production supplies.
- Coordinate material availability between Purchasing, Inventory Control, Material Handlers, Saw Operations, and Production.
- Review material shortages and work proactively with Purchasing to expedite critical materials when necessary.
- Track material consumption and identify replenishment needs to minimize production interruptions.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through daily transaction verification and ERP updates.
- Research inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to resolve inventory variances.
- Process inventory adjustments following established procedures and approvals.
- Participate in cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.
- Work closely with warehouse personnel and material handlers to ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately and in real time.
ERP & Work Order Management
- Create, release, update, and close production work orders within the ERP system.
- Maintain accurate work order information including material consumption, production status, and completion transactions.
- Ensure ERP transactions accurately reflect production activity and material movement.
- Monitor system integrity by identifying and correcting transaction errors.
- Support continuous improvement of ERP processes and inventory accuracy.
Production Scheduling Support
- Support the Production Planner by maintaining accurate production schedules and scheduling tools.
- Assist with optimizing production schedules based on material availability, capacity, and production priorities.
- Expand and maintain production wheels to include additional part numbers and improve scheduling flexibility.
- Monitor production progress and communicate material constraints or scheduling conflicts.
- Help balance production priorities to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a communication link between:
- Purchasing
- Production Planning
- Inventory Control
- Material Handlers
- Saw Operations
- Shop Floor Supervisors
- Warehouse Operations
- Quality Assurance
- Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate material movement and priorities to support production requirements.
- Communicate inventory shortages, production delays, and scheduling changes to affected departments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, material flow, and scheduling efficiency.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Generate and maintain reports related to inventory, production schedules, work orders, and operational performance.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including:
- Inventory Accuracy
- Schedule Adherence
- Material Availability
- Work Order Completion
- ERP Transaction Accuracy
- Identify trends and recommend improvements that enhance inventory control and production efficiency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Three (3)+ years of experience in manufacturing, inventory control, production scheduling, material planning, or supply chain coordination.
- Experience working within an ERP/MRP manufacturing system (LillyWorks or similar preferred).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience researching inventory discrepancies and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows, inventory transactions, and production scheduling principles.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing responsibilities while maintaining accuracy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting purchasing or material planning functions.
- Experience with inventory audits, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of production scheduling and capacity planning concepts.
