Menchey Music Service, Inc. is looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our retail team at our Lancaster, PA location. If you enjoy music, love helping people, and thrive in a friendly, fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet you.
Please note: This is a year-round position and is not a seasonal or summer job.

Whether we're helping a child rent their very first instrument, finding the perfect accessory for a seasoned musician, or connecting someone with music lessons, our goal is simple: to inspire a lifelong love of music.
What You'll DoAs a Retail Sales Associate, you'll be one of the first people customers meet when they walk through our doors. You'll play an important role in creating a welcoming experience while helping customers find the products and services that best fit their musical journey.
Your day may include:
- Assisting customers with instrument, accessory, and sheet music purchases
- Processing band and orchestra rental contracts, making music education accessible for students
- Introducing customers to The Menchey School of Music and registering students for private lessons
- Answering questions in person, over the phone, and by email
- Maintaining an organized, clean, and inviting sales floor
- Opening and closing the store following company procedures
- Handling cash and accurately balancing the cash drawer
You don't need to know everything about musical instruments—we'll help you get there.
Our training includes:
- Product knowledge and manufacturer information
- Basic instrument familiarity
- Sales and customer service techniques
- New products and industry updates

Requirements:We're looking for candidates who have:
- Current high school enrollment or a high school diploma/GED
- Personal experience playing one or more musical instruments
- A general understanding of musical instruments and printed music
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work evenings and Saturdays as needed
- Basic computer skills and attention to detail
- The ability to lift and move instrument cases and merchandise (up to approximately 30 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation
