Position Summary

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides outpatient psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents in a hybrid practice setting. This role combines independent clinical practice with multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure the highest quality patient care.

The successful candidate will build meaningful therapeutic relationships, develop individualized treatment plans, and help patients achieve measurable progress while contributing to a positive, team-oriented clinical environment.

Primary ResponsibilitiesClinical Services
  • Provide individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Provide couples and family therapy utilizing evidence-based interventions.
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilize DSM-5-TR criteria to establish and maintain accurate diagnoses.
  • Deliver psychoeducation to patients and families to promote long-term wellness.
  • Monitor treatment outcomes using standardized clinical assessment tools when appropriate.
  • Perform crisis assessment, safety planning, and risk management when clinically indicated.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, primary care providers, and community resources as appropriate and with appropriate patient consent.
Collaborative Care
  • Work closely with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and fellow therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in clinical case consultations and peer collaboration.
  • Attend monthly clinical meetings and quarterly practice-wide meetings.
  • Maintain effective communication regarding patient care, scheduling, and clinical concerns.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate documentation within company standards (generally within 48 hours of service).
  • Maintain compliance with all ethical, legal, payer, and licensing requirements.
  • Protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Caseload Expectations
  • Maintain a consistent weekly caseload of approximately 28completed clinical sessions per week while providing exceptional patient care and timely documentation.
  • Provide both in-person and telehealth psychotherapy services.
  • Participate in the practice's hybrid scheduling model (typically 1–2 days per week onsite).
Required Qualifications
  • Active New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in good standing.
  • Master's Degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
  • Minimum 2 years of outpatient psychotherapy experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Experience providing couples counseling is strongly preferred; couples work is a valued part of the role but does not comprise the majority of the caseload.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills.
  • Experience utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as:
    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
    • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
    • Family Systems Therapy
    • Trauma-Informed Care
    • Mindfulness-Based Interventions
  • Experience utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
